Overseas buyers must ensure that shrink film maintains performance and appearance throughout long transport and storage. Improper storage—such as exposure to heat, humidity, or dust—can result in premature shrinkage, brittleness, sticking, or yellowing, leading to operational issues and higher costs.
Maintain storage temperature between 20°C to 22°C (68°F to 72°F) to avoid shrink film losing flexibility or sticking together.
Avoid extremes—temperatures above 30 °C can cause premature shrink, while below 0 °C may lead to film brittleness and cracks.
Keep relative humidity between 30% and 50%. Excess moisture can lead to cloudiness, adhesion issues, or accelerated film degradation.
Avoid direct sunlight and UV exposure to prevent film aging and discoloration. Store in clean, dust-free areas—dust can impair shrink film clarity and shrink functionality

Store in coolest warehouse zones - near floor, away from windows or doors subject to temperature swings.
Schedule deliveries early in the day to minimize transit heat exposure.
Avoid extreme cold storage; refrigerating is unnecessary and may cause film to become brittle.
Use insulated shelving or store indoors in warm, dry spots.
Employ desiccants to mitigate humidity and prevent mold.
Sticky or fused rolls: Likely exposed to too high temperature
Sagging, bagging edges: Indicates compromised structure; may cause packaging machinery jams.
Yellowing or brittleness: Suggests aging or environmental damage - replace old stock.
Use FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory system to minimize storage time and maintain film freshness.
Store in original packaging until use; reseal opened rolls with protective covers to maintain humidity isolation.
Inspect batches on arrival for damage or deformation - reject compromised lots immediately.
